I usually frequent Marriott's Fairfield Hotels because of the cleanliness and hospitality. This hotel was by far the worst hotel that costs over $100/night and even those between $50-100. The rooms didn't have a microwave, the refrigerators were a third the average mini-fridge size, Breakfast was only grab and go because lobby was closed for construction, Pool was closed, no work out facility, no laundry, and noisy construction. Some of these may be resolved once construction is finished, but had to change hotels and would have appreciated a notice so I didn't waste my time and money just to have to find alternate accommodations.

Our beds were comfy and clean. We reserved a spacious king room but got a smaller room plus an apology 😔. The elevator looked disgusting but works. Breakfast was okay on both mornings. We used the pool once and it was nice, and had clean towels around. The spa was closed. I'm giving two stars for the loudness and dirty elevator and stairs, mainly due to the ongoing renovation work. This place could be really nice once all works are completed.

O hotel tinha sido limpo, mas devido à idade e necessidade desesperada de atualizações e remodelações, estava muito sujo. Parecia um pouco nojento estar descalço no banheiro. The hotel had been cleaned, but due to the age and desperate need for updates and remodeling, it was very grungy. It felt a little gross to be barefoot in the bathroom. The tile grout was falling out and missing in many places. Where it wasn’t, it was so dirty and black from age. Staff seemed minimal. The only tiny elevator broke while we were there and I was just glad we weren’t in it at the time, because riding in it was questionable. There was something wrong with the orange juice from the dispenser and we didn’t drink it. Coffee and hot water ran out before 7AM and nobody seemed to be restocking the breakfast supplies. It was pricey anyway, which I assumed was due to the proximity to Chicago, but for the quality, it was way over-priced. Next time we’re in the area, we won’t be staying there.

Location is great, and staff is friendly. Sheets too small and kept coming lose in corner at night. Parking lot being worked on and the plan is to charge $10.00 per night to park. Ridiculous

Mold on the bathroom floor! Toilet water is HOT, radiating heat, which might be contributing to the mold on the floor. Realized in the morning there was NO HOT WATER for my shower! All the hot water...

Beware that not all dogs are actually welcome! They have a new policy that the dog must be under 30lbs, although there is NO mention of this on the website or while going through the booking process...
