“After reading all the raving reviews about this place, I felt confident that Iberostar would blow us away like most people were. Upon arrival, we were greeted kindly by the staff with welcome drinks which was a nice touch. The moment was completely ruined when we were immediately led into a timeshare swindle. Really unattractive. Our room was decently sized, but had a musty smell to the place I could not quite put my finger on. For being only 3 years old, the hallways were dark and dirty. The tub on the balcony was a nice touch, although it was dirty and there was no hot water. There was also no hot water available in the bathroom tub, either. The breakfast and lunch buffets were satisfactory with plenty of options. The poolside service was decent and they had a special grill menu most days by the pool. I wish that they had more umbrellas for the amount of chairs available. Being someone who cannot sit in the sun all day, this was very inconvenient if we did not snag a seat before 8am. The only dinner that was semi enjoyable was the hibachi. All other dinners were mediocre at best. I would not come back to this resort at the end of the day, as there are other places with more things to do, better food, and amenities.”
