“Everything is extremely expensive! And they cramped everything in a tiny seafront area. There is a small pool and a beach which looks unattractive because of all the seaweed. This is a 4 star hotel in my opinion not a five star.”

“We were in Mexico City during the 7.1 scale earthquake in September 7, 2021, and had planned a trip to Cancun. Our hotel in Mexico City had to be evacuated and, accordingly, we had to look for a different place to stay. In the aftermath of this, we had to cancel our trip to Cancun, which was scheduled the next morning, just a few hours after a major earthquake. We contacted the hotel directly, explaining the whole situation, and they were not kind enough to accommodate our request for cancellation with no fees. Although we are fully aware of the rules set up upon the reservation, we also believe that common sense dictates that special situations require special attention. Ergo, especially in an area that can be subject to natural disasters, I strongly discourage booking your stay at SLS Hotel, since they have not demonstrated the ability to deal with this in a guest-centered way.”
